Scott Daniel Johansen, age 54, of Lyndon Station, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 8, 2017 at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 31, 1962 in Reedsburg to Joey (Nachreiner) and Charles Johansen. Scott graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School and Webb High School in Reedsburg. He served his country in the Army National Guard. Scott was a professional painter most of his adult life. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved living at his home in the country. Scott was a kind and loving dad. He had a great smile and loved to laugh. Scott is survived by his son: Jacob Johansen; mother and stepfather: Joey and Ron Snyder of Reedsburg; sisters: Pam (Mark) VanHazinga of Minneapolis, MN , Julie (Steve) Dayiantis of Winfield, IL and Sherri (Tom) Nachtigal of Winona, MN; brothers: Kurt (Jean) Johansen, Bob (Nancy) Johansen, and Jerry (Sue) Johansen all of Reedsburg. Scott also survived by his step mother: Judy Johansen; stepdaughter: Jordan Borcher, step brothers: Tim (Jean) Snyder, Tom (Carla) Snyder and Jay (Lori Vieth) Snyder; aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Charles; grandparents: Art and Regina Nachreiner, Ruth and William Johansen; uncles: Dan Nachreiner, Ted Nachreiner and Bill Johansen; and stepbrother: Jeff (Vicki) Snyder. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg with Father Scott Emerson officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery at Loreto Ridge. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials for an education fund for his son, Jacob would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
