G. Lee Myers, age 83, of Reedsburg, died peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 25, 1934 in Richland County, the son of George and Flossie (Hilleshiem) Myers. On October 12, 1954, he was married to the former Lois M. Arneson. Lee was self-employed for most of his life but more recently he drove semi for Lakeside Foods until his retirement. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Lois: two children: Nancy (Brew) Newton, of Reedsburg and Rick (Ann) Myers, of West Bend; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; two sisters: Erma Ellis, of Colorado and Stella Brandt, of New Mexico; his brother-in-law: Robert (Dolores) Arneson, of LaValle; his sister-in-law: Phyllis Miller, of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother: Delbert Myers; two sisters: Virginia Schweiger and Ruth Shireman; four brothers-in-law: Jack Ellis, Dale Schweiger, Bob Shireman and Roger Miller. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor David Glesne officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Hoof Funeral Home and after 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Lutheran Church or the American Family Children's Hospital would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
