Erwin Borleske, age 83, of Reedsburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, Wisconsin. Erwin was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on December 19, 1933. Erwin met his wife Lucille (Conwell) in Cedarburg and the two were married on June 27, 1953. During their 64 years of marriage, the two lived in Random Lake & Lake Delton, WI and Valier, IL. In the 1950’s, Erwin served in both the Wisconsin National Guard and the United States Army. Erwin spent most of his professional career driving a “big rig.” He traveled extensively in his semi with his canine companion and best-friend, Charlie. His CB handle was “The Duster.” He also took great pride in being certified as an independent dealer for the Mason Shoe Company. Erwin was also very committed to his faith throughout his lifetime. Survivors include his wife, Lucille; ten children: Ervin (Linda), Michael (Aggie), Susan (Randall) Proeber, Thomas (Earlene), Adam (Deanne), Ann (Wes) Watts, Ruth Roecker, Sharon (Paul) Borowick, Vincent (Michelle) and Christine (Joe) Zweck; twenty-three grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one brother: Jack Maul, of Lake Delton. He was preceded in death by his mother: Augusta Koepsel; his daughter: Terri; one great-grandson: Clay Wicka and two siblings: Jerome Borleske and Marion Bartell. Condolences can be mailed to Christine Zweck, 6630 Broad Creek Blvd, Madison, Wisconsin 53718. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Erwin’s name to the National Rifle Association or the American Trucking Associations. At Erwin’s request, a private gathering for immediate family will be held at a later date. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
