Arlene A. Brandt, age 84, of Reedsburg, died peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Our House Senior Living in Reedsburg. She was born on November 23, 1932 in the Township of Excelsior, Sauk County, the daughter of Henry and Leda (Reinfeldt) Haefer. Arlene was a 1950 graduate of Reedsburg High School and a graduate of the Sauk County Normal School. On February 27, 1954, she was married to Reuben L. Brandt. Arlene worked at Hankscraft for over thirty years until her retirement. She enjoyed walking and spending time with her family. Arlene was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Survivors include her two sons: Duane (Diane Koenig) Brandt, of Loganville and John (Cindy) Brandt, of LaValle; two grandchildren: Amanda (Jeff) Hill and James (Shannon) Brandt; three great-grandchildren: Audrey, Maxwell and Collin; two brothers: David (Barbara) Haefer, of Reedsburg and LaMoine (Elaine) Haefer, of Cottage Grove; two sisters: Betty Hinze, of Reedsburg and Karen (David) Allen, of Reedsburg; two sisters-in-law: Marilyn Haefer, of Prairie du Chein and Gail Brandt, of Tuscon, Arizona; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reuben, on November 9, 2006 and two brothers: Edward Haefer and Marvin Haefer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter's Scholarship Fund would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
