Johnnie E. Oleson, age 77, of Loganville, died on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on October 31, 1940 in the Township Winfield, Sauk County, the son of Ervin and Dorothy (Rathman) Oleson. Johnnie was a veteran of the 32nd Division of the National Guard. On August 26, 1960, he was married to the former Janet E. Simniok. He was a farmer in the Town of Winfield for many years. He later worked for the Reedsburg Equity Cooperative until his retirement in 2006. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, yard work, keeping busy and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife: Janet; three children: Kimberly (Edward) McPherson, of Cazenovia; Gregory (Jo) Oleson, of Lime Ridge and Pamela Oleson (Douglas Oelke), of Reedsburg; four grandchildren: Beth Anne, Sarah, Gregory Jr. and Nicole; twelve great-grandchildren with another on the way in July; three sisters: Joyce Oleson, of Sheboygan; Beverly (Robert) Haussen, of Baraboo and Stella (Kenneth) Seamans, of Texas; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Bob Maeglin officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Reedsburg Area Veterans Honor Guard. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
