Larry L. Dyar, age 80, of Reedsburg, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Serenity House in Tomah. He was born on January 17, 1938 in LaFarge, the son of Richard and Edith (Teeters) Dyar. Larry was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and he later received his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Biology from Winona State University. On September 28, 1958, he was married to the former Barbara A. Pliner. Larry taught at the Baraboo Junior High School for over thirty years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Survivors include his four children: Lori (Brian) Nelson, of Wausau; Debbie Tapp, of Reedsburg; Tom (Leslie) Dyar, of Reedsburg and Jim Dyar, of Lodi; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his sister: Ruth Breidenstein, of Delavan; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barb, on December 24, 2017 and two brothers: Raymond and Richard. Private family services will be conducted on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Rychie Breidenstein officiating. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
