Duane A. Reinecke, age 82, of Loganville, died on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Our House Senior Living in Reedsburg. He was born on August 31, 1936 in the Town of Westfield, Sauk County, the son of Albert and Reka (Thieding) Reinecke. On June 22, 1957, he was married to the former Eleanor Harms. She preceded him in death on October 31, 1963. He later married the former Lucille Tessmer Laukant on September 23, 1979. Duane was a lifelong farmer in the Town of Westfield. He was also a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Stone Church. Duane enjoyed restoring antique tractors and woodworking. Survivors include his wife: Lucy; his daughter: Linda Hohl, of Portage; three grandchildren: Michelle Hohl, Brittany (Iuri) Gianesini and Ben (Kirsten) Hohl; one great-granddaughter: Vanessa Gianesini; his stepdaughter: Kathy (Bill) Zietlow, of LaValle; his stepdaughter-in-law: Brooke Laukant, of Baraboo; four step-grandchildren: Brian (Tracy) Zietlow, Matthew (Marijo) Zietlow, Jaron Laukant and Keiran Laukant; two step-great grandchildren: Vella and Marshall Zietlow; his brother-in-law: LaVerne (Darleen) Harms, of Reedsburg; other relatives and friends. In addition to his first wife, Eleanor, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law: Dennis Hohl and his stepson: Ken Laukant. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Rock Springs, with Pastor Erich Hartenberger officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Zion Lutheran Church or Cemetery would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
