Leonard H. Alexander, age 71, of Reedsburg, died peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 26, 1947 in Marshfield, the son of Delos and Ardina (Knecht) Alexander. On December 31, 1974, he was married to the former Shirley A. Schnoor. Len was a commercial building inspector for the State of Wisconsin for thirty-three years until his retirement. He was very devoted to the summer baseball programs in Reedsburg for many years. In his younger years, Len was a pitcher for several fast pitch softball teams. It was something he enjoyed immensely. Len also supported his two grandsons always being interested in whatever events they participated in. He looked forward to attending as many of those activities as he could. Survivors include his wife: Shirley; two children: Lisa (Rodney) Heinz, of Waunakee and Ryan Alexander, of Reedsburg; two grandsons: Cameron Morse and Kolby Heinz; his sister: Debbie Alexander, of Spencer; his brother-in-law: Jack Molle, of Unity; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Emily Molle. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Peter's Lutheran Church would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
