Clinton "Bud" Churchill Jr., age 85, of LaValle, died suddenly on Sunday, June 30, 2019 in his home. He was born on March 4, 1934 in the Town of Winfield, Sauk County, the son of Clinton and Vada (O'Connor) Churchill Sr. Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On October 5, 1963, he was married to the former Arlene Tourdot. He was a lifelong area farmer. Bud was a member of the LaValle American Legion Post 242. He was also a former board member of the Reedsburg Farmer's Cooperative. Bud enjoyed bowling with the Skinner Transfer team for many years where he proudly bowled a perfect 300 game. Survivors include his wife: Arlene; three children: Teri (Dave) Ruhland, of Reedsburg, Tom (Julie) Churchill, of Stoughton and Tammy Churchill, of Reedsburg; three granddaughters: Ashley Churchill, Tessa Churchill and Sadee Helms; two great-granddaughters: Whitley and Wrenlee; two brothers: Ronnie Churchill, of Reedsburg and Hubert (Pat) Churchill, of Bristol; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Lucille Gates and LaVeda Bodendein. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg with Father David Carrano officiating. Military honors will follow the service. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the LaValle American Legion would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
